About Our Workshops

We offer three speech and language workshops a year providing opportunities for learning and professional growth. Workshops are sponsored by MISHA and approved by ASHA giving you the opportunity to earn CEUs and SCECHs. Presenters are local and state practitioners as well as nationally known authorities.

The Basics

The dates, times, fees (U.S. funds), and the deadlines for registration are on the registration page.  **Please note: The workshop price includes a $1 membership fee. All workshops are ONE price for ALL members. Please note that we no longer allow walk-in registrations.  The deadline for registration for all workshops is 14 days prior to workshop date UNLESS noted otherwise on the workshop page. Refund requests must be made 16 days before the workshop. A $5 cancellation fee is deducted from your refund before 180 days and $10 after 180 days. However, if a workshop is canceled by us, the refund is the total amount paid.

Registered Student Interns are welcome to attend our workshops at no cost. Note: they are not eligible for the raffle and are not eligible to vote as a member. We will need their name and the school district they are interning with. Register interns along with other district attendees using the following coupon code(s):

  • WKSP1-STUDENT-2024-25
  • WKSP2-STUDENT-2024-25
  • WKSP3-STUDENT-2024-25

There is NO LONGER a $10 processing fee. Be sure to sign in at the beginning of the workshop and out at the endYou must attend the entire workshop to receive CEU credit.

SCECH’s

Participants have to use their PIC# on the forms. You can locate it when you log into your SCR account.

Use of ASHA account numbers to track CE Registry users and information

The American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and the ASHA Continuing Education Board (CEB) recognize the increased concern for individual privacy and the risk of identity theft to our members. In the past, the Social Security Number (SSN) was routinely requested to help identify and match ASHA members with their records. However, we are eliminating the collection of the SSN except where required by law (e.g., income tax reporting).

In support of this policy, the CE Registry will no longer use the SSN as the identification number for CE Registry accounts. ASHA account numbers will now be used exclusively as a means of identification for our Registry users.  (Any individual who is not an ASHA member will be assigned an ASHA account number for interaction with the CE Registry). CE Registry forms that previously used the SSN have been revised to only ask for the ASHA account number. Effective January 1, 2010, CE Participant forms that previously used the SSN will no longer be accepted.

We urge all CE Registry users to carry their account numbers with them to use when completing the CE Registry Participant form. We ask that you fill in the required information, including your ASHA number completely and legibly. If you do not have your ASHA account number while filling out a form, you may call ASHA’s Action Center during normal business hours (M-F, 8:30-5:00 pm EST) to obtain your number.

Kind Regards,
ASHA Continuing Education
